UNI Records Sweep at Bradley for 4th Straight Win

PEORIA, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad won its season-best fourth straight match with a 3-0 sweep over the Bradley Braves on Friday. UNI won by set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.Â
The Panthers (14-7 overall, 5-3 MVC) earned the sweep on the strength of another balanced offensive and defensive effort. A trio of Panthers secured double-doubles led by Amie Held (12 kills, 10 digs), Bri Weber (10 kills, 12 digs) and Heather Hook (41 assists, 10 digs).
Senior Kayla Haneline also stuffed the stat sheet on Friday against the Braves with a match-high 13 kills and a career-high tying six digs.
UNI will head to Chicago on Saturday for a 7 p.m. matchup against the Loyola Ramblers at Gentile Arena.Â
NOTES: UNI came into the match leading all NCAA Division I schools in digs/set (18.79) and team attacks/set (39.86) ... UNI secured 62 digs (20.67/set) and 118 attacks (39.33/set) ... following the sweep, UNI is averaging 18.87 digs/set and 39.84 attacks/set ... UNI has defeated Bradley in 22 straight matchups between the two schools ... Bradley's last win vs. UNI came Sept. 30, 2005 ... head coach Bobbi Petersen improved to 29-5 all-time vs. Bradley ... Weber and Held are tied for the team lead with 11 double-doubles this season ... Hook recorded her fifth double-double of the season and 16th of her career.
