Stroobant Captures 2 Titles at Roger Knapp Invite

DES MOINES, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa junior Jieke Stroobant captured a pair of titles on Sunday to wrap up play for the women's tennis team at the Roger Knapp Invite.

Stroobant won the singles A Flight crown with a 6-3, 7-5 triumph over Northern Colorado's Lea Krajcovicoua.

Junior Elvira Lopez took home the singles A Flight consolation crown with a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) triumph over South Dakota's Yuliya Sidenko.

Stroobant then teamed up with Lopez to take the doubles A Flight championship with a 6-4 win over Northern Illinois's Adey Osabuhein/Meghan Montgomerie.

UNI will play host to the Panther Invitational next Friday-Sunday at Byrnes Park in Waterloo.
