UNI saw five players reach double-figure kill totals in the five-set thriller.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball squad suffered its first setback of the season as the Baylor Bears posted a five-set win over the Panthers at the Rams Volleyball Classic. Baylor won by set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 15-8.

The Panthers (1-1 overall) saw five players reach double-figure kill totals in the five-set thriller. Kayla Haneline led the way with 14 kills. Bri Weber notched her second consecutive double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. Jaidyn Blanchfield set a career-high with 11 kills. Piper Thomas and Lindsey Schulz each added 10 kills.
Setter Heather Hook notched her second straight double-double with 53 assists and a team-high 17 digs. Ashlee Sinnott notched 16 digs.
UNI trailed two sets to one but rallied for a 25-22 win in the fourth set. UNI then scored the first three points of the deciding set before Baylor answered. The Bears tied the fifth set at 3-3 and the teams stayed within a point of each other until Baylor took a 10-8 lead. The Bears would go on to score the final seven points of the match and take the fifth set, 15-8.
UNI will be back in action tonight against No. 12-ranked Colorado State at 8:30 p.m. (CT).
