Panthers Sweep Bears to Close Regular Season

WATERLOO, Iowa - On Sunday afternoon, the University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team took on the Lady Bears of Missouri State and swept the visitors by a final of 7-0.
Senior Erica Medlin celebrated her senior day with a come-back victory in her match. After dropping the first set 3-6, Medlin would win the second and third sets with scores of 6-1 and 10-6.
With the victory, Medlin would close out her season with a perfect 7-0 conference record in singles for the Panthers.
UNI closes out the regular season with a final record of 15-6 and will finish the year with a 5-2 conference record, good enough for third place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings.
Up next for the Panthers, they will look to head to the conference tournament next weekend, beginning Fri., April 24, in Evansville, Indiana.
