• The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team (13-13, 7-7 MVC) will travel to Des Moines to take on the intra-state rival Drake Bulldogs (13-13, 4-10 MVC) on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Knapp Center.
• Mitch Holthus (play-by-play) and Mark Adams (analyst) will call the contest live from the Knapp Center.

Prior to the 2003-04 season, when the current streak began, UNI had finished in the top half of the MVC on two occasions (1993-94 - 5th, 1996-97 - 4th) since joining the league in 1991-92.

UNI has swept an MVC opponent 25 times since the start of the 2006-07 season and will have the chance to sweep Drake on Tuesday.

SECOND ROAD WIN OF THE SEASON
UNI moved to 2-9 on the season in true road games with its 60-58 victory at Missouri State (2/15).
UNI's first true road win this season came in an 80-53 win at Evansville (1/8).
UNI has won at least five road games in each of head coach Ben Jacobson's first seven seasons as a head coach.
The Panthers have posted two neutral site victories with wins over Loyola Marymount (90-81) and La Salle (65-50) at the Paradise Jam.

BATTLE OF THE BOARDS
UNI has won nine straight games this season when the Panthers have won the rebounding battle.
The Panthers were able to our-rebound Loyola, 34-24, which snapped a string of eight straight games of being out-rebounded. UNI also out-rebounded Missouri State on Saturday, 32-28.
UNI is 9-1 when out-rebounding the opposition. UNI's only loss this season when it has more rebounds than the opponent came in the season opener at Ohio when the Panthers out-rebounded the Bobcats, 34-28.
FAST STARTS
UNI has owned a halftime lead in 20 of its 26 games this season.
The Panthers have led at the half in 12 of their 14 Missouri Valley Conference games. The only two MVC games UNI has trailed at half came against No. 2/No. 4-ranked Wichita State.
UNI is 13-7 when leading at the half.
The last time UNI rallied from a halftime deficit to win a game came on March 14, 2012. On that night, the Panthers came back from a 24-22 halftime lead by Saint Joseph's for a 67-65 win in the first round of the 2012 NIT in Philadelphia.

UNI is the leading scoring team in the league through the halfway point of the Missouri Valley Conference season. UNI is averaging 75.4 points per game with Wichita State ranking second in the league at 72.2 points per game.
UNI also leads the league in field goal percentage (47.1 percent), 3-point field goal percentage (40.5 percent), free throw percentage (73.0 percent), 3-pointers made per game (9.7), assists per game (15.1), turnover margin (+1.50) and assist/turnover ratio (1.6).
TOTAL TEAM EFFORT
UNI used 10 players in the first half of its 60-58 win at Missouri State and all 10 players scored at least two points in the first 20 minutes.

This year's UNI Panther men's basketball team is scoring at its highest pace in the past 18 years.
UNI is scoring 73.7 points per game and the Panthers have not averaged a number that high since the 1995-96 season when they averaged 77.2 points per game.
UNI's season scoring average of 73.7 points per game this season would be the sixth-highest single-season total in the Panthers's Division I era.

TUTTLE'S TIP GIVES UNI ROAD WIN AT MISSOURI STATE
UNI junior forward Seth Tuttle's tip-in off a missed shot by Wes Washpun with :01 left gave UNI a 60-58 road win over Missouri State (2/15).
Tuttle paved the way to the victory by scoring a game-high 21 points against the Bears. Tuttle made 9-of-12 shots from the field and scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half.

Senior forward Chip Rank is on track to graduate this spring with a degree in economics and a solid cumulative grade point average of 3.82.
Rank is not making many mistakes on the basketball floor either as he has turned the ball over only eight times this season in 529 minutes of action.
Rank has the fewest turnovers of any MVC player that has played at least 200 minutes this season.
RANK EARNS COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT HONORS
Senior forward Chip Rank has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. Rank has a 3.82 cumulative grade point average while majoring in economics.
Rank is one of five members of the District VI squad. He is joined on the all-district team by Melvin Ejim (Iowa State), Brayden Carlson (South Dakota State), Jordan Dykstra (South Dakota) and Jake Barnett (Saint Louis).
Rank is the third UNI men's basketball player to earn Academic All-District honors since district voting went into place. Brooks McKowen earned All-District VII honors in 2007, while Adam Koch earned All-District VII accolades in 2009.
IT'S A MATTER OF WINS, LOSSES
In UNI's 13 wins, the Panthers are scoring 79.1 ppg and giving up 63.8 ppg. UNI is shooting 50.7 percent in its wins, including 41.8 percent from 3-point land.
In UNI's 13 losses, the Panthers are scoring 68.2 ppg and giving up 77.2 ppg. UNI is shooting 41.0 percent in its losses, including 30.5 percent from 3-point land.

UNI, INDIANA STATE REMATCH PICKED FOR ESPNU ON MARCH 1
The March 1 matchup between the University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team at Indiana State has been selected as a wild card television selection and will be shown live on ESPNU at 12 p.m. (CT) in Terre Haute, Ind.
The game will be a rematch of the February 1 meeting between the two schools, when the Sycamores rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to post a 87-81 triumph at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
WINNING TRADITION AT MCLEOD
UNI has posted an all-time mark of 96-28 (.774) in games played in the McLeod Center. UNI is 9-2 at home this season.
UNI posted a school-record best 16 home wins in the 2012-13 season. The previous mark of 15 home wins was set in the 1989-90 season.
UNI has posted a pair of perfect home seasons since moving to NCAA Division I. UNI was a perfect 14-0 in the 1983-84 and the 2009-10 seasons.
UNI set its home win streak of 21 consecutive victories between the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons.
The McLeod Center was completed in November 2006.
SCHEDULE STRENGTH
UNI has posted a Missouri Valley Conference-best ranking of No. 24 in the nation with its non-conference strength of schedule, according to the latest edition of The RPI Report (Feb. 17).
Overall in the RPI, the Panthers are ranked No. 124 in the RPI Report.

PANTHERS SIGN WYATT LOHAUS IN EARLY SIGNING PERIOD
University of Northern Iowa head men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson announced the signing of Wyatt Lohaus (North Liberty, Iowa/Iowa City West HS) to a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Panthers.
“Our program is thrilled to add Wyatt,” Jacobson said. “He has proven himself to be a tremendous leader and teammate. Wyatt's work ethic and competitiveness are terrific and have allowed him to improve his game every year. He comes from a quality high school program that has had great success. All of these things make Wyatt a perfect fit.”
Lohaus (6'2”, 185 lbs., Guard) has helped lead Iowa City West High School to two consecutive Class 4A state championships and back-to-back undefeated seasons (52-0). Lohaus earned a spot on the 2013 state tournament all-tournament squad. Lohaus was a first-team all-state pick as a junior and was a second-team all-state pick as a sophomore. Lohaus is a two-time first-team all-conference honoree.
Lohaus has scored 763 career points heading into his senior season. He scored 103 points as a freshman, 305 points as a sophomore and 355 points as a junior. He shot 51.8 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from the 3-point arc as a junior. Lohaus averaged 13.7 points, 5.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game last season.
He is the son of Anne Lohaus and Brad Lohaus.

UNI MBB IN TOP-10 PERCENT OF APR
The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball, men's golf, women's golf, women's cross country and women's volleyball teams have been recognized by the NCAA for their latest multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores – the most for a single school in the Missouri Valley Conference. These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports.
The UNI men's basketball program is the only Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball school to be listed in the top 10 percent of the APR.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
