UNI To Host Stephen F. Austin In 2014 Division I FCS Playoffs

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football team will make its 17th NCAA Division I FCS Playoff appearance when it takes on the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks in the first round, Sat., Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the UNI-Dome.
UNI currently holds a 6-3-0 lead in the all-time series between the two teams, with the last game against the Lumberjacks taking place in 2011. UNI won the game 34-23 in Nacogdoches, Texas. This will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams in the playoffs.
UNI has made 17 NCAA FCS playoff appearances and has won 19 playoff games. UNI has won at least one playoff game in 12 of its previous 16 playoff appearances, including a playoff win in eight of its last nine appearances.
