Wrestling Adds State Champ to 2014-15 Recruiting Class

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – University of Northern Iowa wrestling head coach Doug Schwab has announced the signing of Jacob Holschlag as part of the 2014-15 Panther recruiting class.
Holschlag is the reigning Iowa state champ at 160 pounds for Union High School in La Porte City. He plans to major in biology at UNI. He joins teammate Max Thomsen in his commitment to UNI for the next academic year.
UNI wrestling also signed:
- Taylor Lujan (Carrolltown High School/Carrolltown, Georgia)
- Paden Moore (Jackson County High School/Jackson County, Minnesota)
- Isaiah Patton (Dowling Catholic/Des Moines, Iowa)
- Bryce Steiert (Waverly-Shell Rock High School/Waverly, Iowa)
- Jacob Schwarm (Bettendorf High School/Bettendorf, Iowa)
The Panthers grabbed five titles at the UCM Open last weekend. They travel to West Lafayette, Indiana, this weekend to take on Indiana Tech and Purdue in their first duals of the 2014 season.
