Panthers Top Bradley, 5-2

The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team defeated the Bradley Braves on Sunday in Peoria, Ill., 5-2.
UNI senior Phoebe Walker tied the school record for career doubles wins at 83 when she combined with junior Krissy Lankelma to defeat Bradley's No. 1 doubles pair of Adele Henke and Srah Rodefeld, 8-0. Maria McDonald set the mark of 83 doubles wins from 1982-86.
Chelsea Moore and Jessica King won their No. 2 doubles set 8-3 over Kennedy Scott and Carly Miles of the Braves. Lindsay Cayton and Trisha Hinke fell to Elizabeth Przystawski and Meredith McDonagh of Bradley 8-3.
In singles action, Walker swept Bradley's Adele 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 set. Lanklema won her No. 2 set, defeating Rodefeld of Bradley 6-1, 6-0. In the No. 3 set, Moore defeated Miles of BU 6-3, 6-4. King won her No. 4 match against Przystawski of Bradley 6-2, 6-3. Cayton fell to Wojtalik of the Braves 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 5 set. Scott of Bradley defeated Hinke 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 set.
The Panthers will begin competition at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships this Friday in Wichita, Kan.
