Panthers Fall to Huskers

Lincoln, Ne.- The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team was swept, 7-0, by the University of Nebraska Huskers this afternoon in Lincoln.
In doubles, Krissy Lankelma and Chelsea Moore were defeated by Madeleine Geibert and Stefanie Weinstein of NU 8-0 in the No. 1 match. Jessica Kunzelmann and Nina Pfahler lost their No. 2 match to Husker's Jennifer Holmberg and Janine Weinrich 8-1. In the No. 3 match, Nebraska's Mary Weatherholt and Izabella Zgierska defeated UNI's team of Cassandra Dix and Stefannia Sampaio 8-2.
In singles play, Mary Weatherholt of Nebraska defeated Nina Pfahler 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 match. Cassandra Dix fell to Madeleine Geibert of Nu 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 match. Jessica Kunzelmann lost her No. 3 match to Stefanie Weinstein of Nebraska 7-6, 6-0. In the No. 4 match, Janine Weinreich of the Huskers defeated Chelsea Moore 6-0, 6-1. Krissy Lankelma fell to Nebraska's Jennifer Holmberg 6-0, 6-1. Stefannia Sampaio lost her No. 6 match to Maike Zeppernick of NU 6-1, 6-0.
The Panthers return to the court tomorrow in Lincoln to take on the Air Force Academy at 2:00 p.m.
