As the UNI Panthers prepare to embark on the 2011 season - the 11th season under head coach Mark Farley, we'll take a look back at the top-10 plays since 2001.
10) Victor Williams TD pass to Josh Collins vs. BYU - Aug. 30, 2008
Wide receiver Victor Williams completed a 76-yard touchdown strike to fellow wideout Josh Collins that gave UNI its first touchdown of the day at BYU.
9) MacKenzie Hoambrecker's triple overtime FG vs. Cal Poly - Sept. 28, 2002
Hoambrecker made five field goals on the day, including a 34-yarder in triple-overtime to clinch a road win for the Panthers against Cal Poly.
8) Terrell McMoore's interception return for a TD vs. New Hampshire - Dec. 6, 2008
McMoore intercepted an R.J. Toman pass and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown to help UNI to a 36-34 FCS Playoff opening-round win over New Hampshire.
7) Johnny Gray's 67-yard punt return vs. Indiana State - Nov. 10, 2007
Gray had the entire UNI-Dome on its feet after his 67-yard punt return for a touchdown against Indiana State.
6) MacKenzie Hoambrecker's 59-yard FG vs. Missouri State - Nov. 16, 2002
Hoambrecker drilled a 59-yard field goal with 43 seconds left in leading UNI to a 25-24 season-ending victory over the Missouri State Bears in the UNI-Dome.
5) Everette Pedescleaux's Blocked Field Goal vs. Western Kentucky - Nov. 5, 2005
Defensive lineman Everette Pedescleaux blocked a potential game-winning field goal on the final play of regulation to force overtime in UNI's 23-20 double-overtime win over Western Kentucky.
4) Eric Sanders 2-point conversion pass to Justin Surrency - Dec. 9, 2005
Surrency caught a 2-point conversion pass from Sanders with 1:27 left in regulation to knot the NCAA FCS semifinal vs. Texas State at 37-37. UNI eventually won the game 40-37 in overtime.
3) Eric Sanders 35 yd TD pass to Jamie Goodwin - Nov. 12, 2005
With 2:38 left in the fourth quarter and UNI trailing Southern Illinois, 24-19, Sanders hit Goodwin for a 35-yard touchdown pass on a fourth down conversion. The Panthers scored a 25-24 win over the Salukis and clinched the automatic berth into the 2005 NCAA FCS Playoffs.
2) Matt Tharp Interception - Dec. 9, 2005
Defensive back Matt Tharp intercepted a Barrick Nealy pass in overtime to clinch UNI's first-ever trip to the NCAA FCS National Championship game.
1) Eric Sanders 24 yd TD pass to Montari Leonard - Nov. 24, 2007
Sanders hit Leonard with seven seconds left in UNI's 38-35 first-round playoff win over New Hampshire. Leonard juggled the ball for a few moments before securing the touchdown pass.
