Cyclones Sweep Panthers

The Iowa State Cyclones (4-2) shut out the UNI women's tennis team (3-2) Wednesday in their intra-state rivalry match at the Black Hawk Tennis Club. The Panthers fell 6-0 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles, making the final team score 7-0.
The match began with doubles play as the No. 1 pair of Sampada Kanade and Sampada Kanade did not succumb easily, but eventually fell to Jenna Langhorst in her No. 3 singles match 6-2, 7-5. Jessica Kunzelmann lost her No. 4 singles match 6-1, 6-1 to Marie Chartier of Iowa State. The Cyclones completed their single wins in No. 5 and No. 6 singles play as Liza Wischer defeated freshman Stefannia Sampaio 6-0, 6-1 and Jasmine Lee topped Katy Delagardelle 6-1, 6-3.
The UNI Panther's hit the road this weekend as they take on the University of Nebraska at 3:30 pm Saturday and play Eastern Michigan 10:00 am Sunday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
