WATERLOO, Iowa - The UNI Panthers (11-4, 0-1) dropped their Missouri Valley Conference opener Sunday, falling to the Drake Bulldogs, 6-1. The Bulldogs (7-8, 1-0) snapped UNI's eight-match home win streak this season with the victory.
Drake earned the doubles point after escaping a couple of close matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Morgan Rainey and Veronika Leszayova took No. 2 doubles, topping Laia Gonzalez-Garrido and Laia Gonzalez-Garrido (UNI), 6-4, 6-2
