
Panthers Roll, Hannes Breaks UNI Career Wins Record

In singles play, UNI senior Carolina Hannes won her 85th career singles match over Rachelle Shoji, 6-0, 6-3 in No. 5 singles and is now the all-time leader for career singles victories in UNI history. Hannes broke Nancy Land's 13 year-old record of 84 victories.

Fellow senior Meghana Partiala also made history today by winning her 84th career singles match over Lauren Mastro, 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 in No. 2 singles. Paritala is now tied with Land for second on the Panthers' all-time wins list.
"This was a good win for Meghana today," Kirtane said. She has been real close to moving up on the career wins list charts the last few matches, and she was finally able to get over the hump today."
The Panthers will head to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament next weekend (April 25-27) in
