OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton's P'Allen Stinnett scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Bluejays to a 74-50 win over the University of Northern Iowa at Qwest Center Omaha.

Stinnett connected on 10-of-15 shots from the floor, including making 4-of-7 on three-point shots. Creighton shots 52 percent from the field for the game, and was 9-for-16 from behind the arc. UNI was led in scoring by Travis Brown and Carlton Reed, who each had eight points. The Panthers shot 37 percent from the floor. Creighton also won the battle of rebounding, 36-27.

Brown hit a three-pointer in the game's opening moments to give UNI a 3-2 lead. But Creighton then went on a 19-5 run to take a 21-7 lead with 7:59 left in the first half. The Panthers missed 10 of their first 13 shots from the floor, and also had five turnovers in the game's first six minutes. Stinnett scored 17 of his team's 33 first-half points, as he was 7-for-10 on field goals and made three three-point shots. Creighton held a 33-18 lead at halftime, and UNI never got closer than 16 points in the second half. Creighton built its lead to as many as 32 points midway through the second half, cruising to the victory.

Creighton improved to 16-6 overall, 7-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference, while UNI fell to 14-9, 6-6 in conference. The Panthers travel to Springfield, Mo., to face Missouri State this Saturday night, with tipoff from Hammons Student Center set for 7:35 pm.
