Nicole Clausen each added 12. Traci Ollendieck finished with six points, five rebounds and four assists.
Tahnee Balerio was one of four Lady Bears to score in double figures, leading all scorers with 19 points. Maggie Dyer finished with 14 points, and Tiff Terwelp scored eight and grabbed 10 rebounds, along with three blocked shots and three steals.
The Lady Bears (5-11, 3-2) did not start out hot, connecting on just one of their first 11 attempts. UNI took advantage of the MSU dry spell, building a 12-4 lead on a three by Clausen with 13 minutes left in the first half.
UNI led 14-6, but at 7:50 Balerio hit a three that capped a 10-2 run that tied the game at 16. MSU scored the game's next four points to build a 20-16 advantage.
UNI was able to tie the game at 26, but MSU outscored UNI 6-2 through the remainder of the half to go into the break in front, 32-28.
Clausen scored less than a minute into the second period to pull UNI within a basket. MSU responded with an 18-0 run over the next 4:30 that put them in front 48-30 with 15:31 to play.
The Panthers chipped away at the Lady Bears' lead, pulling within 10, 50-40, on a three from Ollendieck at 12:13. MSU scored the next nine points, however, to take a 59-40 lead with less than 10 minutes remaining.
UNI was never able to cut the MSU lead to less than 14 from that point.
UNI finished 21-of-59 (35.6 percent) from the floor, including 7-of-29 (24.1 percent) from three-point range. The Panthers were 6-of-7 (85.7 percent) from the free-throw line.
MSU shot 30-of-60 (50 percent) from the floor, including 10-of-20 (50 percent) from behind the arc. The Lady Bears were 8-of-9 (88.9 percent) from the free-throw line.
MSU held a 40-30 rebounding advantage. The Lady Bears turned UNI's 17 turnovers into 23 points, and MSU collected 11 steals on the game. UNI scored 12 points on MSU's 16 giveaways.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host
