Lincoln, Neb. - The No. 75 ranked Nebraska Huskers (8-5) proved to be too much for the University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team Friday morning.

For the first time this season it was the Panthers (10-3) who were swept by their opponent as they fell 7-0 to the Huskers.

The No. 3 doubles duo of Mariana Muraca (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Taynara Moraes (Santos, Brazil) fell in a close match against Marianne Cicmanec and Ashley Finnegan 9-8, (7-4). Moraes also suffered a close loss in the No. 4 singles spot falling to Maria Ring 7-5, 4-6, (10-4).

"We played well in doubles today, and had a chance to win a couple times," UNI head coach Sachin Kirtane said. "Nebraska is a good team and just jumped all over us in singles."

The Panthers now have a week to prepare for their first Missouri Valley Conference foe as UNI will take on Drake April, 1^st in Waterloo, Iowa at the Black Hawk Tennis Club at 12 p.m.
