The Westerwinds scored the next four points to take a 13-12 lead, but Danielle Wubbens ended the WIU run when she grabbed an offensive rebound and connected on the putback. On a Panther fast break, Clausen drained a three from the right baseline, and Boeck scored on UNI's next possession to put the Panthers in front 19-13 with 4:29 to play in the half.
Katy Davenport hit one of two free throw attempts to bring the score to 19-14, but Kalin connected from behind the arc on the left wing to bring the score to 22-14 in favor of UNI. Ollendieck hit her second three of the game at 2:08 to give the Panthers an 11-point lead, 25-14.
O'Brien started the second half with a three to pull the Westerwinds within four, 25-21. Rachel Madrigal matched it for the Panthers when she hit a layup as she was fouled and connected on the bonus, putting UNI in front 28-21.
Amanda Walker knocked down a three and Stephanie Lovingood scored on a fast break to pull the Westerwinds within two, 28-26 with 16 minutes to play. Neither team scored for the next two minutes, but WIU was able to tie the game at 28 on a layup by Lindsey Wutt.
Clausen returned the lead to UNI with a three from the left wing, giving UNI a 31-28 lead with 12:43 to play.
Erin Brocka returned the lead to UNI on the Panthers with a three from the top of the key. Rasheena Salter hit one of two free throws to cut UNI's lead to one, but Boeck knocked down a shot at the block to stretch the Panthers' lead to three, 36-33 with 9:30 to play.
A pair of free throws from Sarah Miller brought the score to 36-35, but Clausen connected on her fourth three of the game to make it a two-possession contest, 39-35 with 7:56 to play. Lovingood cut the Panther lead in half with a layup, but Clausen was able to keep it at a four-point game when she drained a pair of free throws with 7:18 on the clock, bringing the score to 41-37.
Trailing 43-40, WIU's Gina Hugelier connected on a pair of free throws to trim UNI's lead to 43-42 with 4:01 remaining.
Ollendieck knocked down her third three of the game at 3:05 to extend UNI's lead to 46-42.
O'Brien made it a two-point game with a pair of free throws. On UNI's next possession Kalin drove the lane and found Keefe open on the block, and the bucket gave UNI a 48-44 lead with two minutes to play.
Kalin knocked down a pair of free throws to bring the score to 50-44 with 58 seconds on the clock. The Panthers came up with a defensive stop, and WIU elected to foul.
