Box Score
WATERLOO, Iowa--With two goals in the second half, senior Amy Seubert slammed the door on North Dakota and gave the University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team a decisive 3-0 senior day victory. The Panthers outshot North Dakota 28-6 and were five shots short of the school record set in 2000 against Morningside (33, 8/31/00).
Freshman Colleen Gallagher (Dyersville, Iowa/Dyersville-Beckman) sprung Heaton with a perfect pass inside the box to set up UNI's first goal of the game and only goal of the first half.
Following intermission, it was all Seubert (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka). The senior scored in the 72nd and the 79th minutes on a pair of brilliant pitch-long dribbles that culminated in Seubert's second and third goals of the season. Seubert finished with six shots on the day, the second-highest single-game total for any Panther this season. Laura Wagner, who owns the highest single-game shot total of the season (8 versus SDSU), also tallied six shots.
The Panthers improve to 4-5-2 on the season, 0-0-1 in Missouri Valley Conference Play. North Dakota falls to 5-6-1.
UNI meets Illinois State on Friday for its second home MVC matchup of the year. Game time is at 7 p.m.
