
Hager Named Defensive Player of the Year

Hager has led the Valley in blocks for the past three seasons, tallying 321 blocks and setting the MVC record for career blocks. Time and time again, she has forced her competitors to continually adjust to her presence down low. She has averaged 4.1 blocks per game throughout the season, ranking second nationally.

Hager is the second UNI player ever named Defensive Player of the Year. Former player and current assistant coach Allison (Starr) Pohlman was named 2000 All-Defensive MVP.
