After the teams traded kills, Melissa Schmitz (Elk Run Heights, Iowa) had a cross court kill to give UNI a 30-29 lead, and Toledo hit the ball long on game point.
With UNI leading, 21-20, in the second game, the Panthers used a 7-0 run to pull away and seal the game two victory. Stelken had two kills and a block during the decisive run. UNI came from behind in the third game to clinch the match. Toledo led, 20-15, before the Panthers went on an 8-3 run to tie the score at 23-all. UNI then proceeded to score the final seven points of the game to claim a 30-23 win.
