
UNI Claims Third Consecutive Victory Over Drake

Four Panthers scored in double figures in UNI's 69-46 routing of the Drake Bulldogs, its first Missouri Valley Conference win this season. UNI improves to 7-4, 1-1 in the MVC.
Senior center Cassie Hager led the charge with a game-high 17 points and five blocks. For the first time this season, four Panthers scored more than 10 points as junior guard Jessie Biggs had a season-high 15 points, junior guard Sarah Larsen had 12 points and junior forward Tara King had 13 points. Larsen also had seven rebounds and five assists. Sophomore guard Traci Ollendieck upped her career rebound tally for the second consecutive game, pulling down 10 boards.
Senior forward Jill Martin led Drake with 13 points and 11 rebounds. UNI shot 46.7 percent from the field, 51.7 percent in the first half, and had 23 points off turnovers to the Bulldog's six. UNI had a slight advantage on the boards (39-38).
The Panthers quickly trailed in the game, as Drake sped off to an 8-0 lead. UNI responded and tied the game at 10-all with three-pointers from sophomore forward Megan Keefe and Larsen.
