The Panthers put the game away early in the second half, going on a 15-4 run over the first five minutes to open a 51-33 lead. UNI's lead got as large as 35 points, and only allowed Hawaii Pacific to make five field goals in the second half, outscoring the Sea Warriors 45-18 after intermission. All 13 UNI players got into the game, with 11 of them scoring.
The Panthers connected on 56.8 percent of their field goal attempts (25-for-44), including 65 percent (13-for-20) in the second half. UNI held Hawaii Pacific to just 29.3 percent shooting (17-for-58), just 2-for-15 on three-point shots.
