CEDAR FALLS--Northern Iowa head football coach Mike Dunbar has announced the signing of 25 players to letters of intent. Five of those players currently are enrolled spring semester.
The 1999 reruiting class is highlighted by nine athletes from the state of Iowa.
"I thought we were able to address our needs," Dunbar noted, "which were getting positional balance within the class as we plan for the future, and getting more mature help in terms of some junior college players to help us with more immediate needs. I think we were able to get depth for our defensive line and at running back, and to enhance our secondary."
