Jason Daisy

Jason Daisy ranks No. 4 on UNI’s all-time scoring list with 1,721 points.Â
He was named the 1997 MVC Player of the Year after leading the league in scoring. He also led the MVC in 3-point field goal percentage (.400), free throw percentage (.796) and steals (1.8 per game).Â
He was a first-team All-MVC selection in 1996 and 1997. He was UNI’s first NABC All-District pick (second team) in 1997. Daisy earned USBWA first-team all-district honors. Daisy finished No. 18 in the nation in scoring as a junior at 22.3 points per game. Daisy then ranked No. 21 in the nation in scoring as a senior at 21.2 points per contest. He poured in a career-high 37 points in a 93-88 overtime win over Illinois State, Jan. 22, 1997, in the UNI-Dome.Â
He completed his collegiate career by taking part in the East-West All-Star game at the 1997 Final Four.Â
Daisy is from Minneapolis, Minn., and attended Minneapolis South High School.Â
He is currently coaching basketball at Minneapolis Roosevelt High School.
Daisy has two children, Kayla and Jayden.Â
