Completed in October 2017, the UNI Tennis Complex quickly became a standout addition to campus life — and the new home of Panther women's tennis. Nestled conveniently next to Bender and Dancer Halls on West 12th Street, the state-of-the-art facility features nine fully lit courts, offering top-tier play from morning workouts to nighttime matches under the lights.
Built at a cost of $1.5 million, the complex was made possible thanks to a $500,000 grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association, with the remaining funds contributed by UNI, the City of Cedar Falls, and the Cedar Falls Community School District — a true community collaboration.
But this facility serves far more than just the varsity team. From academic classes and intramural matches to club tennis and recreational play, the UNI Tennis Complex is a vibrant hub of activity year-round. It's also a key venue for Cedar Falls Recreation Programs, cementing its place as a shared asset for both the university and the broader community.
