Panthers Sweep NDSU To Close Weekend

MUNCIE, Ind. – UNI women's volleyball capped a perfect weekend with a sweep of North Dakota State 25-16, 25-22, 25-15.
The Panthers hit .277 for the match and held the Bison to .091 overall and just .028 in the first set with 10 errors.
Karlie Taylor again led the Panthers with 15 kills, Piper Thomas added 14 kills with a .393 attack percentage and Jaydlin Seehase added 13 kills.
Rachel Koop notched 44 assists to pace the offense and Kendyl Sorge added 15 digs to anchor the defense.
The win moves UNI to 5-4 on the year and puts the Panthers in good position with four non-conference games left on the slate.
All-Tournament Team
Three Panther players were named to the All-Tournament Team led by Karlie Taylor who was named the tournament MVP. She had 55 kills, hitting a hair over .200 for the tournament. She also notched 20 digs, a solo block and three service aces.
Piper Thomas was also named to the All-Tournament team notched 42 kills, six blocks and an assist. She tallied a three-match attack percentage over .300.
Kendyl Sorge was the final Panther on the All-Tournament team. The senior libero had 46 digs to pace the Panther defense. She averaged 4.18 digs per set.
