
Sacquitne Leads Panthers at Air Force Tournament

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNI's Sam Sacquitne hit a two-under 70 to close the first round in a tie for seventh place at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite at the Eisenhower Championship Course on the campus of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
Sacquitne birdied the par-3 seventh and the par-5 ninth and didn't record a bogey for the entire first round.
As a team, the Panthers are in 15th place. Alex Pries, in his collegiate debut, finished the first round in 47th place with a two-over 74. Tommy Doyle, also in his first collegiate tournament, was third for UNI finishing six-over 78.
Carter Stochl finished at 79 and Parker Oleson closed out with an 80.
