UNI Cross Country Runs in Minneapolis

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI Panther cross country teams travel to Minneapolis for the Roy Girak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.

The Panthers are coming off a strong performance at the Bradley Intercollegiate, where the UNI women took first place and the Panther men finshed second.

Wal Khat led the UNI men with a seventh-place finish. Alex Jackson, Sam McCool, Drake Henrichs and CJ May all finished in the top 19 at the event.

On the women's side, McKayla Cole, Gabby Champion, Gabby Skopec and Alyssa Williams all finished in the top 10.

The race will be 8k for the men and 6k for the women. The field includes teams from the B1G, Ivy League, ACC, Summit, Conference USA, Big Sky, Big West and WAC.

The men's race will start at 11:10 a.m., and the gun will sound for the women's race at 12:15 p.m.
