Panthers Wrap Up Day 2 of Gopher Invite

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—The University of Northern Iowa's Kate Merrick advanced in singles competition at the Gopher Invite, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Merrick went the distance against Arkansas's Shwetha Prabaker, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Merrick advanced in the Flight D Bronze division.
Olivia Fain fell in three sets to Nanette Nylund of South Dakota, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
Harri Proudfoot and Valentina Caro defeated Finnigan/Lobanova of North Dakota, 6-1. Claudia Toledo and Daisy Phillips defeated Huber/Hall of Minnesota 6-4.
