UNI Earns No. 6 Seed for MVC Tourney

The University of Northern Iowa softball team earned the No. 6 seed for the 2018 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
UNI will meet No. 7-seeded Illinois State on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. UNI owns a 2-1 series lead over Illinois States this season. UNI has won the MVC Tournament title on two occasions - 1990 and 2013. UNI and Illinois State last met in the MVC Tournament in 2016.
The winner of the UNI-Illinois State game will face No. 3-seeded Southern Illinois on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
This year's tournament will be hosted by the Drake Bulldogs on May 10-12. All games will be played at Buel Field on the Drake campus.
