UNI Signs Three More Recruits for 2018-19

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – University of Northern Iowa head men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson has announced the signing of three additional players for the 2018 recruiting class.
After signing consensus top-100 recruit guard A.J. Green (Cedar Falls, Iowa) in the fall, the Panthers have added transfer guard Trae Berhow (Mayer, Minn.), junior college guard Tray Croft (Anniston, Ala.) and junior college forward Shandon "Biggie" Goldman (Evansville, Ark.) to the roster.
Green averaged 25.8 points per game and led the Cedar Falls Tigers to the 4A state championship. He was named the IBCA Class 4A Player of the Year. Green became Cedar Falls High School's all-time leading scorer with 1,792 points. He is a three-time first-team all-state pick by the Iowa Newspaper Association. He is the son of Michele and Kyle Green.
Berhow will redshirt in 2018-19 per NCAA transfer regulations and will have three years of eligibility for the Panthers. The Pepperdine transfer averaged 10.0 points per game last season. Berhow played in 30 games and made 28 starts for the Waves. He led the Waves with 48 made three-pointers and shot 40.0 percent from beyond the arc. The native of Mayer, Minnesota, played prep basketball at Watertown-Mayer High School, where he was one of five finalists for Minnesota's Mr. Basketball in 2017. He is the son of Nicole Berhow.
Croft earned NJCAA Division II First-Team All-America honors after setting the Iowa Central Community College scoring record with 1,626 points in two seasons. He broke the single-season scoring mark at ICCC each year with 772 in 2016-17 and 854 in 2017-18. The native of Anniston, Alabama, was named the 2017-18 ICCAC Division II Region Player of the Year. He averaged 6.6 rebounds and dished out nearly four assists per contest. Croft drained 106 three-pointers and shot 41.7 percent from three-point range. He led Iowa Central to a 21-12 mark in the 2017-18 season. He is the son of Chantel Croft.
Goldman will join the Panthers after playing this past season at Panola College (Texas). He averaged 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range. Goldman played in 32 games with 25 starts and made 52 three-pointers in 2017-18. Goldman began his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. A native of Evansville, Arkansas, he was an all-state pick at Lincoln High School in 2014-15. He is the son of Greg and Alicia Goldman.
