UNI Pro Day Set for March 25

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football program will host its annual Pro Day on Sunday, March 25, as several draft-eligible Panthers look to showcase their talents in front of NFL scouts, coaches and executives.

UNI's Pro Day is set to begin at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon, with a total of nine draft-eligible Panthers set to participate. Keelon Brookins, J'Veyon Browning, Elijah Campbell, Jared Farley, Daurice Fountain, Sam Kuhter, Adam Reth, Malcolm Washington and Preston Woods are slated to participate on Sunday.

The Pro Day will begin in the weight room on Sunday, with bench press, vertical jump and broad jump, before moving out to the turf for speed and positional drills that will be open to the media and public.

Under head coach Mark Farley, 32 Panthers have achieved their dream of playing in the NFL. The most recent success story is former UNI running back David Johnson (2011-14), who burst onto the national scene to earn First Team All-Pro honors in 2016, before gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated's 2017 NFL Preview. Last season, a total of six Panthers took snaps on Sundays. That number is only expected to grow in 2018 as UNI's new crop of NFL prospects gets set for Pro Day on March 25.

The 2018 Panthers will return 26 players who made starts on offense and defense for UNI in 2017. Last year's squad earned an 8-5 record and defeated three Top-10 foes on its way to the program's 19th FCS Playoff berth. The Panthers also succeeded on the postseason award's stage, after seven different players earned All-American honors which was the most since 2007.
