BETTENDORF, Iowa—A late overtime goal pushed Western Illinois past the University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team this evening.
Â
Madeline Edwards of Western Illinois scored the overtime goal after a defensive battle sent the game to extra time. Edwards scored her second goal of the season on a solo run to the net.

The Panthers outshot the Leathernecks 22 to 10 with 9 shots on goal. The Panthers had one additional corner kick than the Leathernecks, taking 6 in the match. UNI goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger had 7 saves in the match.
