Minneapolis, Minn.—The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team dropped their second straight match, falling 7-0 to the Minnesota Gophers.

Gisela Kemper and Reghan Lynch fell short in the No. 1 doubles spot, falling 7-5. Claudia Toledo and Savanna Hunt were defeated 6-1.

Kemper fell 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles spot, falling to Caroline Ryba. Lynch went up against Tina Kreinis and was defeated 6-1, 6-2.

Harri Proudfoot played against Barbara Mancera, 6-1, 6-2. Toledo was defeated by Caitlyn Merzbacher 6-0, 6-1.

Valentina Caro fell to Camila Vargas Gomez in the No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Hunt would fall to Cammy Frei 6-1, 6-0 to round out the competition.

Up next, the Panthers face the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on January 28 at 10 a.m. at the Baseline Tennis Center on the University of Minnesota's campus.
