Panthers Cap First Leg of Jack Jennett

DAY 1 RESULTS
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa track and field program wrapped up a short first day at the Jack Jennett Open on Thursday, as the Panther men finished four events in the heptathlon.
Second day action of the Jack Jennett Open will commence at 10 a.m., Friday with the men's heptathlon 60-meter hurdles. Field events will start at 11:15 a.m., while track events will begin later in the day at 2:35 p.m.
Austin Heitland is currently in second place for the heptathlon, with 2,734 points and three events to go. Fellow Panther Michael Santi is not far, sitting in third with 2,642 points, while Isaiah Barney is in 11th with 2,290.
Santi finished second in the 60-meter (7.14) and the long jump (21-08.25), while Heitland was consistent with Top-5 finishes in all four events on Thursday.
