Panthers Wrap Up Day One at Miranda Invite

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team is in 14th place with a team score of 294 after day one at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite.

Sam Sacquitne leads the Panthers after shooting 1-under (71) on the day and is currently tied for 16th place overall. Sacquitne carded four birdies on the day, which was a team high.

Following Sacquitne was Sam DeBartolo and Andrew Wood as they both shot 1-over par (73) and are tied for 38th place overall. DeBartolo and Wood each posted three birdies in their rounds.

Parker Oleson drained a trio of birdies and shot 5-over (77) on the day. Marshal Lamb made his lone birdie of the day on the fifth hole and shot 6-over (78).

The Panthers will play 18 holes on Saturday and another 18 holes on Sunday to complete the 54-hole event.
