UNI Soccer Falls to #13 in United Soccer Coaches Poll

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell to No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
UNI, who ranked at #12 last week, won an overtime thriller to open MVC play against preseason favorite, Illinois State on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The goal, which came from Brynell Yount, was the fifth goal of the season and moves her to No. 5 on the All-Time career goals list with 11.
The Panthers continue to play at home, hosting Evansville on Sept. 30 and Viterbo on Oct. 2. Both matches will take place at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.
In NCAA rankings, UNI is in the top-10 in shutout percentage at 70%. As a team, UNI is in the top-15 in save percentage at 87.5%. Goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger is tied for fourth in total shutouts with 7. Senior Sarah Brandt is tied for No. 2 on game-winning goals at four. Brandt and Reichenberger lead the MVC in those categories as well.
