Des Moines, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team finished up competition at the Drake Invitational today, bringing home two championships.
Reghan Lynch won the consolation bracket of the A Flight by deferment from Creighton's Michaela Henne. Lynch defeated Thisuri Molligoda of Northern Illinois, 7-6 (5), 6-1.
Kate Merrick won the consolation bracket of the C Flight, defeating Habiba Aly of South Dakota, 7-5, 6-4.
Valentina Caro was defeated in the D Flight championship by Darla Chemodanova, 6-4, 6-4.
The Panthers will compete at the Gopher Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota next weekend.
