UNI Set to Wrap Up Non-Conference Action

Cedar Falls, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team is set to wrap up non-conference play this weekend.
The Panthers (6-1) will travel to the Northern Illinois Huskies (3-2-1) on Friday, Sept. 15 for a 6 p.m. match-up. The Panthers and Huskies are each coming off losses in their respective last matches. The Huskies fell at home on Sept. 8 to UW-Milwaukee, 2-0. The Panthers fell to Montana, 2-1, on Sept. 10.
The Panthers return home on Sunday, Sept. 17, playing host to the North Dakota Fighting Hawks at 1 p.m. The Fighting Hawks (2-3-1) play South Dakota State at home this Friday before traveling to the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.
Regional Honors
The University of Northern Iowa earned regional honors in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, Midwest Region. The Panthers, who rank at #14, fell two spots from last week's poll. This is the first time in school history that the Panthers have earned a regional ranking.
NCAA rankings place goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger is in the Top-15 in three categories. Reichenberger in No. 3 in shutouts with 6, behind Milwaukee's Mallory Geurts, who leads. Reichenberger's .933 save percentage gives her a spot at No. 11. Reichenberger leads the MVC in those categories as well. With a goal against average of .286, Reichenberger lands at No. 13 on the NCAA list.

Scouting the Huskies
- The Huskies come into the match, 3-2-1.
- Between the posts, Amy Annala has allowed five goals to 24 saves.
- The Huskies and Panthers each have faced Western Illinois this season. The Panthers won an exhibition match on Aug. 15, 1-0. The Huskies defeated Western Illinois, 1-0 on Aug. 18.
- The Panthers have a 0-2-1 record against the Huskies and have not played them since 2011.
Scouting the Fighting Hawks
- The Fighting Hawks come into the match, 2-3-1 and will play South Dakota State on Friday.

- Former Panthers head coach, Chris Logan leads the Fighting Hawks this season. Logan, who spent last season with the Panthers, led UNI to their best program history since 2003.
- The Panthers have a 5-1-2 record with the Fighting Hawks, with the last meeting coming just last season. The Panthers and Fighting Hawks had a tie-game after double-overtimes.
