Brandt Earns MVC Offensive Honors

St. Louis--Sarah Brandt (Sr. Ankeny, Iowa) has been named MVC Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the MVC on Monday.Â
In both of UNI's wins this weekend, senior Sarah Brandt got UNI on the board first in both games. With Friday's victory against Omaha, Brandt moved to No. 4 on the All-Time made goals list at UNI. Brandt has two goals on the season and two assists from this weekend.
For the first time in school history, all of UNI's home matches will be broadcast on ESPN3. Join Brad Wells as he brings you the play-by-play of all the action.Â

UNI (3-0 overall) has started a season with three straight victories for only the third time in school history. UNI opened the 2003 and 2012 seasons with a trio of victories. UNI has notched nine goals on the season.
Snapping Streaks
UNI snapped both Omaha and South Dakota's winning streaks against the Panthers this weekend. Friday marked only the second all-time win for UNI against Nebraska-Omaha. The first victory came in the 2000 season and was UNI's first triumph in its program's history. The Panthers posted a 3-1 win over the Mavericks on Sept. 10, 2000. UNI is 2-2-1 all-time vs. Nebraska-Omaha. Omaha fell to 0-3. Prior to Sunday's match, South Dakota had won three of the last four, including two straight in Vermillion. South Dakota falls to 0-4 on the year
