Panther Men Sit in 10th in Arkansas

JONESBORO, Arkansas – The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team is in 10th place following the opening two rounds of play at the Arkansas State Red Wolf Intercollegiate.
UNI shot team scores of 315 and 305 for a total of 620 (+44) through 36 holes at the RidgePointe Country Club.
Sam DeBartolo is leading the way for the Panthers in a tie for 19th place. DeBartolo tallied scores of 76 and 75 (151). He posted four birdies on the day with a pair in each round.
Tied for 45th was Dustin Atkinson. He scored 77 in the first round and 78 in the second round, totaling 155 (+11). He had three birdies in the first round and another four in the second round.
Davis Sutton is tied for 49th with scores of 83 and 73 for a total of 156 (+12). Sutton notched five birdies, including four in round two.
David Spengler is tied for 62nd through two rounds at the tournament. He had a first round score of 79 and a second round score of 80 which is good for 159 (+15). He had three birdies on Monday.
Close behind is redshirt sophomore Marshal Lamb, who is tied for 70th with scores of 83 and 79, with a total of 162 (+18) for the first day of the tournament. Lamb had four birdies in the opening two rounds.
Arkansas State (B) is winning the Red Wolf Intercollegiate tournament through the first two rounds with consistent scores of 295-294, totaling 589 (+13). The second Arkansas State team is in second place with close scores of 299-291 (+14). Matt Zakutney of Murray State is leading the tournament with scores of 73-68, totaling 141 (-3).
