Rolinger Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

Senior golfer Allison Rolinger has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention scholar-athlete team, as announced by the MVC on Wednesday.Â
The criteria for the MVC scholar-athlete is the athlete must be of sophomore standing or higher and have a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Only five student-athletes received honorable mention selection by virtue of receiving a minimum number of votes. A total of 31 student-athletes were nominated for women's golf scholar-athlete honors.Â
Rolinger is a senior with a 3.69 grade point average. She is studying graphic design with an art history emphasis.
Rolinger led the Panthers in stroke average (78.32) and posted a team-best 20 rounds in the 70s and notched an eighth-place finish at the 2017 MVC Championship meet after posting rounds of 76-77-75, becoming the first Panther in the top-10 since the 2012 MVC meet. Rolinger had three top-10 finishes with her best finish at the Creighton Classic (Oct. 17-18), where she tied for fifth in the final standings.
