Panthers Tied For Third at MVC Women's Golf Championship

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team finished tied for third place after round two of the Missouri Valley Conference women's golf championship on Monday. The Panthers are playing at the Dalhousie Country Club, a par-72, 6,214-yard layout in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
The Panther team finished tied for third after a tallying a round two score of 324 after a rather wet day out on the course. UNI currently has a two day total of 634, which ties them up with Bradley.
Starting the day off tied for 10th, senior Allison Rolinger wrapped up the second round in seventh place. She recorded a score of 77 in the second round to give her a total of 153 thus far. Rolinger currently has three birdies and 21 pars over 36 holes to bring her nine behind the leader.
Maddie Bertsch dropped a few spots on Monday after finishing day two with a score of 81. She shot an additional two birdies to help give her a grand total of 155.
Shooting a lower second round, Paige Van Dyk did not let the slippery course affect her game. Van Dyk teed off and shot a 78 for round two, giving her a total of 157. She currently has a total of 22 pars which helped land her tied for 14th.
Sarah McMichael posted a round two score of 88, giving her a two-day total 169, and tied for 39th. Jenna Snyder lowered her day-two round to a 90 and an overall total of 183. Snyder sits in 50th place.
UNI was voted to land in 10th place in the pre-championship poll but have held their own as they look to their first ever MVC Championship win.
The final round will be played on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
