ST. LOUIS, Mo.--Gisela Kemper of the University of Northern Iowa was named Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference today.

In three games this last week, Kemper went 2-1 in singles matches and 3-0 in doubles matches. Against Navy, Kemper posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Aimee Dervishian in the No. 3 spot. Kemper paired up with Sydney Wolfe to defeat Sabrina Jiang and Rozel Hernandez, 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles spot. On Wednesday, Kemper and Wolfe teamed up to defeat Emily Lombardi and Karen McKeough of Fairfield, 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles spot. In singles, Kemper posted a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Diana Prinos. Against Fordham, Kemper and Wolfe would get the only Panther victory, defeating Gianna Insogna and Maia Balce, 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles spot. Kemper fell 6-1, 6-4 to Mayu Sato.

Kemper and the Panthers return to action on April 1st at 2 p.m.
