Dallas, Tx. - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team has completed round one of the ORU/SFA Spring Break Shootout on Monday in Dallas, Texas.

The Panthers team of Jenna Snyder, Sarah McMichael, Maddie Bertsch, Paige Van Dyk, and Allison Rolinger ended the first round tied for ninth after ending the day at +42 on the par-72 course.

Rolinger is tied for ninth place after shooting 15 pars, including parring every hole in the front nine. Her score at the end of round one was 76.

Also tied for ninth place is Van Dyk, who also shot a 76 for the day. She shot three birdies at No. 6, 8, and 14, along with parring 10 holes.

Bertsch is in the middle of the pack for Norhern Iowa as she sits tied for 48th. She had a total of nine pars and birdied No. 6 to end with a 81 first round score.

McMichael completed her first round at 82 after having two birdies for the day at No. 4 and No. 18. Currently, she is tied for 54th.

Snyder sits tied at 79th for her first round score of 87. She had seven pars throughout the 18-hole course.

The Panthers start round two on Tuesday morning followed by round three on Wednesday.
