CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer program has announced its spring 2017 schedule, which will feature three home games. The team will remain in Iowa for all five games this spring.
"I am looking forward to building on one of the best seasons in school history," interim head coach Jeremy Clevenger said. "I think we have lined up some good competition to challenge ourselves. The team has been working extremely hard this winter and I know they will be ready to showcase that work this spring."
The season will kick off with back-to-back home games, starting at home on March 25 against Grand View at 1 p.m. The last regular season game played against Grand View was back in 2014, and ended in an overtime win. On April 2, the Panthers will host Minnesota State, Mankato at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex at 2 p.m.
The third game of the season will be played against Iowa State on April 6 in Ames at 7 p.m. The Panthers and the Cyclones' last two games have been decided by just one goal, proving to be an exciting match-up.The Panthers will then travel to Des Moines to take on Drake on April 14 at 7 p.m. The game against Drake will be an intense one, as neither team scored in their last meeting this past fall.
The Panthers will finish off the spring season on April 22 at home against Northern Illinois at 2 p.m.
