UNI Softball Gears Up for DeMarini Classic

The University of Northern Iowa softball team is heading out to Las Vegas, Nevada to play in the DeMarini Classic February 16-18.

After opening the season with a 4-1 record at the UNI-Dome classic, the Panthers are set to face-off against five more teams this weekend.

On Thursday, UNI will go head to head with UNLV (3-2) at 8:45 p.m. The Rebels just wrapped up the Sportco Kick Off Classic where they swiped up wins against Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Southern Utah. This game will be live streamed by Mountain West Network.

Friday, the Panthers will kick-off the afternoon against Idaho State, who kicks off their season at the DeMarini Classic. After, UNI will play Colorado State (2-3) and then end the day against Boise State (1-2).

On the final day of play, the Panthers will close out their weekend with BYU (2-2), who just wrapped up a weekend at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.
