The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball program will take on two road contests this week to start the second half of Missouri Valley Conference play. The Panthers start with a Friday night match-up at Evansville (7 p.m.), followed by a game at Southern Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 5 (2 p.m.).
Five Facts:
• Madison Weekly is currently ranked No. 25 among active career leaders in NCAA Division I women's basketball in career made threes, sitting at 228.
• Hannah Schonhardt is just the fourth player in UNI history to record 500-plus defensive rebounds in a career. She ranks No. 3 all-time at UNI in career defensive rebounds (507).
• Madison Weekly is ranked in the top-20 in NCAA Division I basketball in assist/turnover ratio (2.71), ranking No. 18. She has 84 assists and only 31 turnovers, ranking her first in the MVC.
• UNI ranks fifth in the country in turnovers per game, only averaging 11.8 a game.
• Head coach Tanya Warren holds an overall record of 177-135 in her 10th season at UNI.

About the Purple Aces: The Evansville Purple Aces are currently 8-12 and 3-6 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Purple Aces were on a two-game winning streak to start conference before heading into Iowa for the weekend of Jan. 6, falling to both Drake and UNI (L, 54-40). Evansville's only other conference win since the last time they played the Panthers was against Southern Illinois on Jan. 22 (W, 63-60). Evansville is led by senior Sara Dickey, who is averaging 15.4 points per game overall while Camary Williams is averaging 15.0 points per game in Valley play.
Close Games: In the last five seasons, the games between UNI and Drake have been decided by an average of just seven points, including three overtime games (2012, 2014, 2017).
Highs Across the Board: Ellie Herzberg scored a career-high 27 points against Drake (1/27). It is the fourth time this season she has scored in the 20-point range. She scored a career-high 12 field goals against the Bulldogs, shooting 57-percent from the floor.
Putting on a Show: The UNI Panthers and the Drake Bulldogs put on a show on Jan. 27, playing to double overtime. UNI's crowd of 4,027 is the largest attended game in Missouri Valley Conference play this season.
Streaks Come to an End: UNI's 11-game winning streak prior to the Panthers' loss against Drake (1/27) is the second-longest in school history with UNI's 8-0 start to conference play being the best MVC start to date. UNI had 19 straight wins during the 2010-11 season.
Three-for-Three: Senior Angie Davison has had back-to-back games with three made three-pointers, knocking down three against Drake (1/27). It ties for a career-high for the senior.
Warren Gets Defensive: UNI is 124-17 under the direction of Tanya Warren when holding an opponent to 60 points or less. Five of UNI's top-10 scoring defense averages in school history have come during the Warren era, ranking second in the Valley this season, only allowing 60.3 points per game.
