UNI Wrestling Signs 2x State Champ Blockhus

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Doug Schwab picked up his first national top-15 signee for the 2018-19 roster.
Two-time state champion Michael Blockhus of New Hampton, Iowa, will join former teammate Keaton Geerts, a freshman on the current Panther roster.
Intermat has ranked Blockhus No. 15 in the nation at 138 pounds. He is No. 4 on IAWrestle's Preseason Fab50. FloWrestling has him ranked No. 19.
Blockhus won his first state title as a freshman at 106 pounds in 2015. He grabbed a second title as a junior at 126 pounds in Class 2A. He was second at 120 pounds as a sophomore in 2016. He won both the Greco and freestyle divisions of the 2017 Iowa/USA Junior State Championships at 138 pounds.
