Panthers Soccer Travels to Drake for In-State Match

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team continues its road stretch, taking on in-state rival Drake 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Panthers (10-2-1) return to action after dropping their first road loss of the season at Missouri State. Hannah McDevitt led the Panthers with five shots. Brynell Yount and Morgan Teel each had three shots.

Between the posts, Jami Reichenberger allowed one goal against the Panthers, making that the seventh goal allowed this season. Reichenberger has a save percentage for the Panthers at 85.7 percent.

Drake has won six of its last eight games.
The Panthers and Bulldogs have had three consecutive shutouts, with Drake leading the overall series 2-8-4.
Goalkeepers Haley Morris and Kelsie Stone have allowed a combined total of 16 goals against Drake.

In NCAA rankings, the Panthers are in the top-10 in shutout percentage at 66.7 percent. UNI is in the top-10 for win-loss-tie percentage at 87.5 percent.

The Panthers have been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Midwest Regional poll for the last five weeks. In addition to being ranked, the Panthers earned the Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year from the United Soccer Coaches.
